ROTARY MANNINGHAM CITY
We are one of approximately 31,000 Rotary clubs comprising more than 1.2 million service-minded men and women in over 168 countries. Rotary Manningham City is a network of over 50 professionals. The heart of our club are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship.

Club members meet every Wednesday evening to enjoy each other’s company while listening to interesting speakers. Working to the motto of Service above Self, we tackle a variety of challenging tasks and have plenty of fun on the way.

WE DO THINGS! Last year the club raised more than $80,000 that funded projects that benefited medical research, education, the young, food relief programs, the disadvantaged and environmental problems in our immediate community and further afield.
Our Mission
At Rotary Manningham City our mission is to raise funds for men's prostate cancer research. We believe that through research, education, screening, and early detection, we can fight this disease and save lives. Our annual golf day is just one way that we hope to achieve our mission. We welcome golfers of all levels to join us for a fun-filled day on the course.
Our History
Rotary Manningham City is committed to beating the most common cancer in Australian men, with all funds raised on the day going to prostate cancer research.

Our first Charity Golf Day was held in 2009, and now almost 16 years later we have raised over $300,000 for prostate cancer research. These funds raised are used to fund world leading, innovative research to support men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
Who We Fund
Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Research Group at the Biomedicine Discovery Institute, Monash University, to fund world leading, innovative research and to support men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
Their innovative research program has a strong translational approach, involving lab-based studies with tissues donated by patients with prostate cancer. Their collaborative studies with clinicians and patient advocates address questions that are relevant to patient care. The findings have the potential to improve the management and outcomes of men with different stages of prostate cancer. Recent studies have informed international guidelines for diagnosis of prostate cancer and led to new clinical trials.
